Room Mission: To facilitate dicussion on a variety of topics, including politics, religion, philosophy, culture, etc. Light-hearted and/or frivolous banter is fine once in a while.
Room Rules:
Mic time—3 minutes when hands are up.
a. Exceptions for chatters who indulge off-topic babbling or rants—1 to 2 minutes for them depending on admin discretion.
b. If a person begins mic when nobody else has a hand up, that person can talk as long as he likes—except when someone puts their hand up. If more than 3 minutes has already gone on, the mic chatter has to IMMEDIATELY relinquish mic to a new hand.
Dots for standard infractions like death threats, doxxing, spam. [If the offense is repeated 2 times in a day, admins will bounce.]
Anti-social behavior if indulged too much may be dotted for extended periods of time. Such behavior includes insulting or harassing other chatters too much (defined principally by the victim complaining, hopefully verified by an admin witnessing it—victims may be vetted by the admin and ranked according to credibility [e.g., Apollo would probably not be trusted if he complained; hannah would be trusted]).
Chatters who play music without asking admins may be dotted for extended periods.
Although the room is R rated, that rating is to allow chatters to discuss adult topics and use 4-letter words for spice. The R rating is not for chatters to gratuitously type or speak vile statements about religious figures. Those who do so will be dotted for extended periods.
Note: Admins may not perfectly enforce rules, including mic time, but we will do our best. Our best may include many instances of what seems to be unfair and/or inept application.
In applying dots/bounces, Admins will try to consider whether a chatter is a loyal supporter of the room or is not. A loyal supporter of the room has been in the room a long time (months, regularly) and has contributed more good quality chat than bad, and therefore Admins may go leniently on them about certain infractions (death threats and doxxing, however, are non-negotiably equal opportunity dots for everyone).
