It occurred to me that JL has been spending most of his time seemingly deflecting from the top-down Communist subversion whilst calling flagrant attention to that top-down subversion’s bottom-up useful idiocy. This activity is the larger framework for his dozens of tweets associating pro-Palestinian individuals and groups with Communist subversion. A recent retweet shows a seemingly comprehensive list of Communist subversion masquerading as other things—but notice a conspicuous absence in that list of anything top-down. It’s all apparently grassroots bottom-up stuff:
Arguably, if Communist subversion is really an existential threat, there would have to be a top-down component, since a smattering of communist-friendly individuals and groups making a lot of noise by itself is not a serious threat, even if it may be a matter of concern. The titular question of whether JL is CO depends then on whether, when he is pointing at all this bottom-up activity, he is ineptly calling attention to the less important danger—or he is purposefully diverting his readers’ attention away from the more important danger (with the added bonus of strengthening his anti-Communist Cred amongst his less perspicacious and more gullible, even at times fawning, readers).
Assuming—for the sake of our thought experiment—JL is CO, what would his hidden strategy be in picking a fight with the Alt-Feminists (couched in the self-defense of “they insulted me first!”)? I don’t know the answer, and am scratching my head thinking of a guess. If he’s not CO, his activity has seemed reckless, which doesn’t make sense for someone of his intelligence; though it’s not impossible he has let his emotions get the best of him. His second altercation came with Jennifer Bilek, who has in at least one important video called attention to the more important top-down component of the Trans Industrial Complex; so belittling her in the eyes of his fans could have the effect of diminishing the dissemination of her message about that top-down component. However, the bigger fish, Posie Parker (“Kellie”), as far as I know does not (as most in the Alt-Sphere do not) frame her activist opposition in terms of a top-down component.
At any rate, we see James today is doubling down:
This latest kerfuffle ought to elicit some friendly pushback from his friends (you’d think; or they are not friends but just yes men?). For example, Benjamin Boyce (who has had JL on his podcast many times, for consistently warm & chummy brofests):
Meanwhile, Benjamin has had some rather cozy podcasts with Posie herself
What will Benjamin do in this situation? My prediction is that (other than his single tweet at the beginning of the kerfuffle before it went south) he will pretend nothing is happening, and thus help his friend’s protective bubble stay intact.
It would be nice if some day James would submit himself to a long critical interview from someone other than a fawning admirer or Broleague who spends 2 hours with him playing softball at best. He continues to inhabit a bubble where his only opposition is framed by him as attacks from the outside (demonized as “woke” and/or “communist”)—which to his admirers only adds to his cred—and anyone who dares to sneeze in his direction is attacked by him then blocked. Given this behavior, we are then given the green light to speculate.
He is a total fraud . . .
